The HD1006 Hush System 1 is ideal for upgrading the acoustic performance of timber separating floors in historic or listed buildings where the existing lath and plaster ceiling needs to remain fully intact.
This is achieved by upgrading the floor/ceiling construction from the floor side only, by combining a number of Hush Acoustics' high quality sound insulation products. These include Hush Fill 60 Heavy Pugging, Hush Slab 100 sound absorber panels and Hush Felt 25 Resilient Joist Strip.
HD1006 has been tested as a complete system to exceed all the UK Building Regulations covering acoustic performance - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland).
Whilst this system is ideal for many refurbishment and conversion projects, it can also be used in new build applications created using timber separating floors to achieve excellent acoustic performance.
The system is formed in the following way:
Acoustic Performance*
Impact (LnTw) - 48 dB
Airborne (DnTw) - 64 dB
Airborne (DnTW+Ctr) - 53 dB
* Results based on the full HD1006 Hush System 1 system being used in conjunction with existing 200mm joists and a full lath and plaster ceiling.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Hush Acoustics is consulted before specifying.
