Acoustic insulation system for masonry walls: HD1057 Hush Wall System

The HD1057 Hush Wall System from Hush Acoustics provides the ideal solution for upgrading the acoustic performance of an existing masonry wall (bricks / block). 

This class-leading system is simple to use and designed to deliver excellent acoustic performance levels using a thin acoustic wall lining system that does not impact significantly the internal room space. It is suitable for residential, commercial and public buildings whether they are new build, conversion and refurbishment projects.

The acoustic system uses a number of Hush Acoustics manufactured sound insulation products, including Hush Slab 25. This high performance sound absorber is actually applied directly to the masonry in this system.

HD1057 has been rigorously tested as a complete system and proven to comply with the requirements of all the acoustic Building Regulations covering the UK - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part (Northern Ireland). 

To achieve success with HD1057 Hush Wall System, the various component parts must be installed in full to either side of the existing masonry as follows:

• Install Hush Bar Resilient Bars to both sides of the wall, insulating within the bars using Hush Slab 25 Sound Absorber.
• Face the resilient bars with the Hush Wallboard. Ensure the fixings attaching the Hush Wallboard to the Hush Resilient Bars do not penetrate through to the masonry.
• Finally, ensure the perimeters of the Hush Wallboard are sealed using the Hush Heavy Duty Isolation Tape and the Hush Acoustic Sealant as per the Hush Wall System data sheet.
