Kilburn Handmade Bricks

The Kilburn Blend is another variant similar to the Byland Blend with Black Manganese added to the surface to give a black and creamy/white marbled effect.
This blend can be produced using fire clay from the no longer running Williamson Cliff Factory.
We also have various alternative suppliers of fire clay which achieve a similar result due to the way these bricks are manufactured.
The Kilburn & Byland Blends have been used on various Self Build Projects within their own right, and mixed together to achieve a different appearance as can be seen in the photos. Here Lindum has been used to contrast the Buff Blends to an impressive result
