HDS-30 - Heavy Duty Soft-Down Stay

This stay is designed for upward-opening doors, and can be used with concealed, piano or butt hinges.
Designed to hold the door up in the open position, and when closed will gently lower the door down into the vertical position.
(Not to be confused with models used on toy boxes where the lid lifts up, or those where the hinges are at the bottom of the vertical door and the door drops down to open!)
Recommended for use in pairs, especially for wider doors, to ensure the door is evenly supported from both sides - minimising stress and extending the life of both stay and hinges.
The product has varying strengths depending on the amount of torque your door produces - to check the torque you may visit the torque calculator on our website or email us your door dimensions and weight/material.
All strength models are available in both left and right hands (sold separately) and in a choice of white or black colour.
