HDS-20 - Heavy Duty Soft-Down Stay

This stay is designed for top-opening lids such as those found on toy boxes, and can be used with concealed, piano or butt hinges.
Designed to hold the door up in the fully opened position, and when closed will gently lower the lid down to the horizontal position.
(Not to be confused with models that work on vertical downward-opening doors, such as those commonly found on TV cabinets!)
Recommended for use in pairs, especially for wider lids, to ensure the door is evenly supported from both sides, minimising stress and extending the life of both stay and hinges.
The product has varying strengths depending on the amount of torque your lid generates - to check the torque you may visit the torque calculator on our website or email us your door dimensions and weight/material.
All strength models are available in both left and right hands (sold separately) and in a choice of white or black colour.
