Swistherm EWI - New Build

OVERVIEW

Swistherm is a BBA approved external wall insulation system designed to increase a building's thermal efficiency.
The structural fabric of the building is protected, high resistance to impact damage is provided and the system is completely weather resistant whilst remaining vapour permeable.
Swistherm has an effective life of over 30 years and is rated Class 0 for surface spread of flame
Warranties are available when the system is installed in accordance with Alumasc's project specification and Swistherm having been applied by an Alumasc registered contractor
Swistherm eradicates cold bridging, condensation and mould growth and limits movement and thermal shock and freeze-thaw cycles associated with traditional brickwork facades

APPLICATIONS

Swistherm is primarily suited to new-build construction types where the structure provides continuous support for the Insulation Slabs however it can also be used on refurbishment schemes.
Unrestricted use applies to buildings up to 6 Storeys however the system is also ideal for high rise buildings, subject to Alumasc’s high rise policy

INSULATION

Insulation slabs are mechanically fixed direct to a continuous substrate. A choice of insulation thicknesses and materials are available, achieving very low U-values
Swistherm insulation options include Mineral Wool, Expanded Polystyrene, Grey EPS and Cork.

RENDERS, FINISHES & BRICK SLIPS

Render finishes include textured ST Silkolitt Silicone Render and ST Mineral Render which are available in a wide range of colours.
Alumasc Acrylic Brick Slips can also be used with Swistherm.
