Level-X can be used to solve the problem of an uneven subfloor. This fibre-reinforced, self-levelling compound forms into a smooth layer above the irregular surface. It can be applied for 2 to 50mm in a Single pour.
Woodpecker Level-X is a flexible, shrinkage-compensated, Cement-based, fibre-reinforced self-levelling compound with a free-flowing and rapid-setting formula. It's ideal for levelling rough and uneven subfloors such as Timber, bitumen or screeds in preparation for a floor covering.
USES :
For smoothing screeds and a variety of floor surfaces. The high polymer and fibre formulation makes Level-X the ideal choice for direct foot traffic or light vehicle traffic and can be applied to concrete, asphalt, timber, plywood, Underfloor Heating, old tiles, terrazzo and natural stone. Due to the strength of formulation, Level-X can be applied to a depth of 50mm in one application. Level-X is the perfect choice when preparing a substrate to lay wooden block, laminate, ceramic tiles, natural stone, vinyl, parquet, cork, carpet or painting as final treatment.
SURFACE PREPARATION :
Prior to application, ensure the surface is clean, firm, dry, and free from dust, dirt, oil and grease. Remove any loose or flaking layers. The substrate must be strong enough to support the weight of the leveller, adhesive and covering. Sub-floors directly to earth must have a damp-proof membrane.
APPLICATION :
CONCRETE: Allow 30 days drying time for new concrete. Surface must be free of dirt and loose dust particles. Prepare surface by priming with Level-X primer diluted 1 part Level-X primer to 3 parts water.
UNDERFLOOR HEATING: The heating unit must be switched off and allowed to cool down prior to application. After the application, heating must NOT be turned on for at least 24 hours. When turned on temperature must be increased slowly on a daily basis.
TIMBER / PLYWOOD: Substrates must be fixed firmly with Screws at 15cm centres to joists. Prepare the surface by priming with Level-X primer diluted 1 part Level-X primer to 3 parts water.
SCREED: Should be left for a minimum of 12 hours until sufficiently dry. Prepare surface by priming with Level-X primer diluted 1 part Level-x primer to 3 parts water.
LIMITATIONS: Do not use in areas subject to permanent water immersion.
RECOMMENDED TOOLS: Suitable steel trowel, spiked roller, slow speed drill and paddle.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Woodpecker flooring is consulted before specifying.
