Vitreo 190 - Chic Glass Mosaic Tiles
Made using up to 55% post-consumer recycled glass.
Description
These are semi-transparent or opaque molten glass mosaic colours. The tesserae are produced by pouring molten glass through two moulds, then subjecting them to an annealing process.
Benefits
Glass mosaic has its own aesthetic strengths, arising from the simplicity of the material, and has endless applications for original and creative decorative effects. Glass is highly resistant to thermal shock and has technical characteristics that allows its use outside or even under water. This product is waterproof and is coloured cast without the use of adhesives or paint surfaces, so that the shade remains unaffected by sunlight and does not wear out over time. Colours are enhanced by the translucence of the glass and a customer can order either a solid colour or a mix of multiple colours together.
Applications
Vitreo can be installed on horizontal or vertical surfaces, interior or exterior; It is suitable in wet areas, such as showers or swimming pools. The size of the tesserae (1x1cm and 2x2cm) and the frequency of the joint (~ 1mm) means that the surface has inherent slip resistance. Although the mosaic is waterproof, this does not preclude waterproofing the foundation substrate in swimming pool and similar applications.
