Description
These colours are characterized by bright colours, achieved through the use of post-consumer and pre-consumer recycled glass, together with a minimal amount of coloured polyester resin (ratio 90 to 10). For this line, aventurina and semi-precious stones also give it a special grain structure.
Agglomerates are produced industrially in large slabs of maximum size 118 x 48 , with a thickness of and a weight of 2.87 lbs/sqf. These are made up of approximately 90% granules and 10% polyester resin. The production process involves mixing granules of various types and sizes, such as quartz, granite or glass, with polyester resin and pigments for colouring. The sheet is then cut into standard formats, bevelled and tested for quality control, with special sizes on request.
Made using up to 70% post-consumer recycled glass.
Benefits
The large 118 x 48 format enables coverings of large areas with relatively few joints. The lightness of the material, combined with its outstanding technical properties, allows for a variety of uses, especially in those environments where weight is critical, such as apartments, ships and partition walls. It is easy to cut on site, using the correct diamond cutting disc, TREND ORIGINA is sufficiently flexible to attain a radius or more than 27 , making it suitable for cladding curved surfaces. The agglomerate s slim dimensions enable it to be used on top of existing surface materials.
Applications
This agglomerate is suitable for wall cladding and flooring, even in areas with continuous traffic, both indoors and outdoors (OUTDOOR: NOT ALL COLORS CAN BE USED OUTDOOR. SOME COLORS, ESPECIALLY LIGHT COLORS, CAN SHOW YELLOWING AFTER 5 YEARS). Using WATER-JET cutting, personalized designs or inserts can be created, or standard sizes cut so that sheets can be laid side by side, creating an effect of continuity. It is also suitable for covering steps, raised floors and baseboards, as well as contouring around curved surfaces like columns.
For cladding surfaces such as tables and countertops, the Skin method is recommended, which provides for the application of a wooden support and assists with the creation of finished borders and seamless bonding to hide the joints.
