GeoBlue™

GeoBlue™ Radiant Heating & Cooling works on the principle that thermal comfort is determined not only by temperature of the air around you but a combination of ambient air and heat being radiated to or from objects nearby.

A fairly large surface that is exposed to the occupants must be cooler/warmer than the ambient air to provide radiant cooling/heating. Occupants then radiate heat to the object causing a sense of cooling/heat. The patented GeoBlue™ ceiling panel is a 600 x 1000mm, 25mm or 16mm thick panel consisting of phase change materials and expanded graphite which achieves a high cooling capacity and even temperature distribution for the GeoBlue™ system.

Take a look below at the thermal imaging examples which highlight this feature:

Radiant heating and cooling can be a very cost effective means of heating and cooling Commercial Buildings and could save significant energy in the commercial building sector, increasing occupant comfort, indoor air quality and increased productivity. A Radiant cooling system works on the same principle as radiant heating. GeoBlue™ uses the same system of capillary tubing for both heating and cooling.

The ceiling is the largest free space in a room and is an ideal surface for heating and cooling with radiant heat and cooling dissipating evenly throughout the room.

GeoBlue™ is installed on to an MF ceiling system with the ThermaCool® Panel comprising of phase change material and expanded graphite to improve its thermal conductivity performance. The heating and cooling mats are laid parallel as this way the heating and cooling water is evenly distributed to maximise the specific heat exchanging surface.

The GeoBlue™ heating reaches a very high performance with temperatures of heating water between 24°C – 30°C and efficient temperatures of cooling water of between 17°C to 19°C. Each project is individually planned and individually produced according to the project requirements.

GeoBlue™ is regulated by an intuitive controller, GEO1. The regulator measures both temperature and humidity, thus continually determining the dew-point temperature. Depending on the indoor temperature, the ideal  flow temperature is made available for the heating or cooling mode. Incorporating a DSL connection, all data can be read, edited and managed remotely.

GeoBlue™ further enhances the PCM properties of the ThermaCool Tile and ThermaCool Panel product range.
