Firebags - Intumescent Pillows

Flexible fire resistant pillows for either temporary or permanent fire stopping of service penetrations for fire resistance of up to 4 hours.

Firebags consist of dust free coated Glass fibre bags filled with inorganic fillers, expansion agents and special fire retardant additives. Placed in service penetrations through fire rated Walls and just as easily removed, to provide temporary or permanent fire stops. They are especially suitable where frequent cable changes are expected, for example, in computer and communications installations. Fire protection during construction work can be as important as even openings partially filled with Firebags will have a significant baffle effect in the prevention of relatively minor outbreaks of fire spreading throughout the building.
