These bars prevent large doors from bowing, or warping.
Bowing is bad because it means the door will not sit correctly in a frame. It is especially awkward on sliding doors where the centre of gravity can be offset so the doors no longer hang properly - which may also prevent a door sliding into it's pocket without rubbing on the inside edge.
Their unique design allows then to be fully concealed by sandwiching them in the door during construction and then applying tension with an Allen key from either the top (or bottom) of the door. On doors already manufactured you may rout out the depth to install the bars, and then cover with a vinyl wrap for concealment (or rout a little more to add a thin layer on top).
They come in varying lengths and can be cut down by 420mm, allowing them to fit onto a huge range of door sizes.
The TN423 is a thinner and stronger version of the TN403, and the extra force means this system provides a better chance of correcting a door that may already be beginning to bow. As the TN423 is thinner it is usable on doors that may not be thick enough to take the TN403.
For either model you'd want to use 2 pcs per door, please see images 6 and 7 to see the recommended installation positioning.
