Smeg's pyrolitic oven cavity is designed to eliminate corners, holes and joints whilst every element inside the cavity can be easily removed: the upper grill has a tilting mechanism, and the side oven shelf brackets can be removed and washed in the dishwasher.
Through the automatic pyrolytic cleaning function, all the dirt and grease stuck to the walls of the oven is burned away effortlessly, without the need for detergents, thanks to the extremely high temperature reached by the oven (500 C).
The Portofino cooker door is equipped with smooth soft close hinges which can make all the difference when opening & shutting the door regularly.
Featurung solid, chunky metal knobs - the Portofino's controls are robust and extremely ergonomic.
The oven is equipped with an exclusive three-fan system which, combined with the greater power of the motors, allows excellent cooking performance to be achieved. The two large side fans distribute the air around the perimeter of the cavity while the small central one increases ventilation by creating a vertical heat vortex. This uniformed temperature allows you to cook evenly on all five levels, just like in professional kitchens.
