Laminated Glass is manufactured by bonding together two or more layers of high quality float glass under heat and pressure using an interlayer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The PVB has no adverse effect on light transmission but absorbs in excess of 99% of ultra-violet light. Laminated glass can perform many functions including safety, security, bullet/blast resistance and Solar Control.
This glass is perfectly suited for use in architectural and transport applications where the use of monolithic glass would prevent a hazard if breakage were to occur.
