Where a rise is under 3 meters, Companionway ladders offer an easier to use alternative to the Fixed Vertical Ladders. Complying with the recommendations of BS395: Part 3. Companionway ladders are
fixed to the same high standard and provide even more flexibility required to suit most site conditions and locations. Heights above 3m fall outside the recommendations of the British Standards
