Safegrid 20mm ball proof (20BP) steel grating flooring has been designed in line with British Standard BS4592-1:2006 and European Standard BS EN ISO 14122-2-2016 for ball proof compliancy and will not allow the passage of a 20mm diameter sphere. Safegrid open mesh steel flooring is available in 20BP, 35BP or Utility and should be selected based on the required level of ball proof for the appropriate traffic passing underneath. Safegrid 20BP has been designed to be used for access where a walkway or platform is in constant use, traffic may pass beneath regularly and where there are often people working below. 20mm ball proof flooring should also be used on stairs that are used as a means of escape.
