Wealden Sussex Sandstone Coarse Tooled Walling (CHTW)

This tooled natural sandstone walling is ideal for restoration and new build projects. The finish on display was introduced into England by the Normans and can be seen in many notable buildings including Battle Abbey (1068) and Bateman's - Rudyard Kipling's house. The 45 degree tooled finish has recently been re-introduced in to the market by Lambs as production ceased in the 1930's. Through subtle automation of the tooling process we have been able to create a product which for hundreds of years has been used to create distinctive properties. The stone weathers from a fine honey colour to autumn shades over time and is an ideal natural product to blend into a traditional or contemporary garden or building design.
