It can be used on any mattress (dynamic air or foam), increasing patient comfort and reducing pressure by immersion and envelopment. Unlike many other mattress overlays, it can be used time and time again, is fire retardant, and can be washed up to 80_C and with medical Detergents and cleaners.

Proven clinical evidence has shown that the Somlent® Aiartex® overlay prevents the occurrence of bed sores, and has been effective in the treatment of early stage pressure ulcers. Clinical results demonstrate a reduction in healing time, reduction of the exudates, and enhanced patient comfort which is believed to be due to the improved ventilation by Aiartex three-dimensional textile.
