Soundproof Floor System for Timber Floors: HD1027 Hush System Premier
The HD1027 Hush System Premier from Hush Acoustics is a dependable soundproof floor system for timber floors that can be used in conversion, refurbishment and new build projects.
Designed as an economical sound insulation system for timber separating floors, it works by combining a number of high quality sound insulating materials from Hush Acoustics including Hush Panel 48 acoustic panels and Hush-Slab 100 sound absorber.
The system is fully compliant with UK Building Regulations in the acoustics arena - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).
The HD1027 system comprises:
- Hush Panel 48, installed with all T&G joints glued using Hush Bond, over a floor deck, as per manufacturer’s instructions, with all perimeters sealed using Hush Seal 20.
- Hush Slab 100 fitted between the timber joists with Hush Bars screw fixed to the underside of joists at 600mm centres and at right angles to the joists.
- Two layers of 15mm Gyproc Soundbloc plasterboard secured to Hush-Bars, with all perimeters sealed prior to skimming.

* Results based on the full Hush System HD1027 being used with a minimum 225mm I joist and suitable wall lings to reduce flanking noise.
