HD1051 High Mass Ceiling Sound Insulation System for Refurbishment Projects

The Hush HD1051 Acoustic system is a highly effective sound insulation solution for both floors and ceilings in refurbishment projects. It utilises a variety of proven Hush Acoustics products which are combined into a fully tested system that architects can rely on to perform.

Key to the HD1051 system are Hush Panel 28, Hush Seal 20 and absorbers which are used in the following method:

  • 18mm chipboard deck or original floorboards are overlaid with Hush Panel 28 acoustic boards.
  • All perimeter junctions are isolated using Hush Seal 20 and all T&G joints are glued using Hush Bond Panel Adhesive.
  • Hush Slab 100 sound absorber is used within the joists, tightly packed to ensure there are no gaps.
  • Hush Deep Resilient Bars are then fixed horizontally to the underside of the joists at 600mm centres.
  • Hush Multi Panel is installed to the underside of the Hush Deep Resilient Bars.
  • The Hush Multi Panel is then over-boarded with 15mm Fireline plasterboard.

HD1051 is fully compliant with all UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Section 5 (Scotland) and Part G (Northern Ireland).

Acoustic Performance*
