HW6410 Chocolate is a dark brown floor offered in a herringbone pattern. It's engineered construction adds significant stability to the board allowing for natural wood expansion without compromising on the real wood aesthetic.
The surface is characterised by the sawn timber being passed through rotating brushes to highlight the grain structure and give natural texture to the surface. Then HW6410 is prefinished with a matt low sheen polyurethane coating that covers the pores of the wood and forms a hard resilient surface protecting it from dirt and moisture ingress.
With its character grading, you should not be surprised to find both heartwood and sapwood. Knots may be larger and you should also expect the presence of checks.
All four sides of this plank feature a bevelled edge which accentuates the outer perimeter of each individual board. The planks have a tongue and groove profile and should be fully bonded to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Havwoods Ltd is consulted before specifying.
