This medium brown engineered European Oak floor is installed in a one strip pattern. The engineered construction adds significant stability to the board allowing for natural wood expansion without compromising on the real wood aesthetic.
HW1812 Aspen Raw 13 is characterised by the sawn timber being passed through rotating brushes to highlight the grain structure and give natural texture to the surface. The surface is prefinished with a UV cured hardwax oil that offers the advantages of lacquer with the subtlety of oil, the micro-porous, water-repellent surface also offers higher protection from stains.
With its character grading, you should not be surprised to find both heartwood and sapwood. Knots may be larger and you should also expect the presence of checks.
The subtle two-sided bevel found upon the long edges adds visual interest, yet keeps the ends of the boards closely connected for an uninterrupted flow. The planks include a tongue and groove profile and should be fully bonded to the subfloor using a suitable adhesive, it can also be floated on a high-quality underlay.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Havwoods Ltd is consulted before specifying.
