FasTrack 609 Orange is a woven geotextile developed for projects where separation, reinforcement, and visibility are critical. Based on the proven performance of our FasTrack 609 grade, this variant combines the strength of polypropylene woven tapes with the added benefit of a bright orange colour marker.
The orange colouring provides a clear visual warning layer within the ground, alerting contractors and future users to the risks of further excavation. This is especially important where contaminated and uncontaminated soils meet, reducing the chance of cross-contamination and ensuring safer site management. It also serves as a practical marker layer in situations where excavation control is part of the design.
As a woven geotextile, FasTrack 609 Orange offers excellent tensile strength and reinforcement properties, in line with BS 8661:2019 recommendations for applications where soils contain low fines and water movement is not the dominant factor. The interlocking structure of the polypropylene tapes creates a robust barrier that maintains aggregate layers, preventing costly loss of material into weaker subgrade soils.
In addition, FasTrack 609 Orange helps manage water movement by directing it laterally rather than vertically into the subgrade. This function supports overall ground reinforcement, particularly in heavy-duty construction scenarios such as highways, industrial platforms, working yards, and landfill capping.
By specifying FasTrack 609 Orange, designers gain the combined benefits of separation, reinforcement, and safety marking within a single product. This reduces the need for separate warning membranes while ensuring compliance with both engineering and health and safety requirements.
Available with UKCA and CE certification and backed by Geoworks’ technical support, FasTrack 609 Orange offers a dependable and cost-effective solution for projects requiring enhanced visibility and long-term performance.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Geoworks is consulted before specifying.
