MV-2 HID Prox Vandal Resistant Reader

The Mv-2 Versatile Reader has been designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and tough. The unit incorporates 125KHz proximity technology from HID and is capable of reading the full range of HID Proximity cards and tokens. Being vandal resistant, weatherproof and attractive means the unit is suitable for use in both internal and external applications.

The reader fully supports all of the features and performance expected of the HID range, including the ability to be used with existing HID 125KHz PROX reader applications. The unit also offers high reliability and good read range characteristics.

Construction: Two piece Stainless Steel enclosure, with all electronics fully potted and enclosed for resistance to harsh environments as well as complete vandal resistance; while maintaining reliable performance in arduous conditions.

Mounting: Designed to be unobtrusive and to mount directly onto most internal and external surfaces such as brick, Stone, wood or Plaster using only two security screw fixings. Spacer kits are available for mounting onto metalwork. Requires only a through hole for cable connection. Supplied with a 3M flying lead and vandal resistant Screws.

Visual/Audible indication: When a card or token is presented to the Mv-2 Versatile Reader, the red LED flashes green and is accompanied with an audible confirmation from the internal sounder.

Available with standard wiegand output for general use by any controller accepting 125KHz HID Proximity Readers.

The Mv-2 Versatile Reader is the perfect reader choice where external mounting is required. ABS readers can become cracked, broken or just look tired and untidy whereas a stainless steel reader will not lose its good looks and will resist the effects of severe weather and heavy use.
