The Helsinki floor system is finished with a hardwood wear layer over a softwood or plywood carrier. This provides an extremely durable hardwood sports floor with a dimensional stability some seven times that of solid hardwood.
This makes for consistent performance in changing temperatures and atmospheric conditions, as well as reducing maintenance requirements.
The system comprises a foam layer over which a load distribution module is laid, prior to the engineered board as the top layer. As every part of the floor is equally supported by the elastic layer, consistent performance is ensured right across the playing surface.
The Helsinki system exceeds the requirement of Class A4 BS EN 14904 and is Sports England compliant.
The Helsinki system requires a level floor slab (+/- 3mm over 3m). If you require a levelled system, we would recommend our Stockholm Sports Floor, which does not require a level floor, avoiding the need for a screed.
We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, and take pains to ensure that our floors use sustainable Timber.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Dynamik Sports Floors is consulted before specifying.
