Sebastian Cox has combined the ancient skill of cleaving with contemporary furniture making techniques to create his Chestnut and Ash range. Made from coppiced chestnut and well-managed ash, the collection has a simple and textural aesthetic.
Vegetable-tanned leather has been stretched over chestnut laths to create a lightweight and strong coffee table. A Smooth ash frame carries the skin-and-bone tabletop. The more you use this piece, the more the leather will wear around the lathes and the more it becomes yours.
