Loading Bays

The range of dock levellers includes both mechancial and hydraulic levellers with either swing or telescopic lips.  A variety of options are available including ramps with upgraded running plates, hydraulics and reinforcements for increased loads.  Levellers are available in a variety of colours and with options such as anti-clip coating and coatings to reduce noise.  A variety of leveller models are available to suit the building and pit type.

The most common type of dock shelter is the flap dock shelter with fabric side and head seals which adjust to the size of the lorry trailer and help to prevent ingress of weather and pests.  For temperature controlled buildings Shelters which utilise foam seals are a popular choice, helping to greatly minimise energy loss.  Inflatable dock seals are the ultimate solution as they seal tightly to the lorry providing a near perfect seal around the doorway.

Well co-ordinated loading doors, dock levellers and protection equipment can greatly help to prevent temperature loss or gain.  Our standard dock door is the Rollashield SD sectional door which provides and excellent U-value with 40mm or 80mm composite insulated panels.  For high use openings a Rapidor high speed door can be used to maximise your efficiency.  Dock levellers can be insulated and supplied with rubber side seals to prevent energy loss through the pit.  A variety of shelters are available, however the most popular option for temperature controlled buildings is an inflatable seal with shelter which helps to greatly reduce air leakage.  Another good option for energy saving is to utilise an external loading house which helps to minimise cold bridging and air leakage by situating the dock leveller assembly outside of the main building.
