The Puraflo Commercial Peat Biofilter from Anua is designed to provide effective, low maintenance and cost-effective secondary and/or tertiary wastewater treatment for a wide variety of commercial applications such as business premises, restaurants, golf clubs and schools. Puraflo s modular nature provides maximum design flexibility. However, depending on site specific requirements, the peat biofilter media can be housed in site-constructed retaining structures. The system is easy to install, operate and maintain. This technology is based on simple, passive biofiltration principles. Unlike other sewage treatment systems, Puraflo does not require blowers or re-circulating pumps. As a result, it is very energy efficient with ultra low running costs. Puraflo is ideally suited for intermittent or seasonal use e.g. schools, holiday homes, etc achieving consistently high treatment results even under variable and/or seasonal loading conditions.
