The 2000 range wall tie has been designed for use in buildings of any height, altitude or location within the UK. It can be used in cavity Walls of upto 150mm. The tie is designed and tested to exceed the requirements of a type 1 tie as specified in BS EN 845-1: 2003.It is capable of achieving the loads required due to its high sectional properties and specially designed embedment features. The tie is resistant to water crossing a cavity due to the integrated 'drip' features that serve to prevent the transgression of water from the outer to the inner leaf of a building, even when installed with an angle of up to 5° in an unfavourable direction. The minimum mortar joint thickness which this tie is intended for use is 10mm. The tie has a cross sectional area of 19.2mm2 making it one of the best type 1 ties on the market when calulating U Value correction factors for insulated cavity walls.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that ACS Stainless is consulted before specifying.
